Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage was originally developed by Indian women as part of their daily grooming routine. Massage skills were passed on from mother to daughter from generation to generation. Indian barbers incorporate massage into their treatment. A visit to the barber will always involve champi – the Western word for “shampoo” is derived from this word which means “having your head massaged”.
Some benefits of Indian Head Massage are:
- • improves blood circulation
• relaxes tight and painful muscles
• eases stiffness and breaks down knots in muscles;
• improves lymphatic drainage;
• helps to dissipate mental tiredness, stress, depression resulting in greater mental alertness, concentration and clearer thinking
Indian Head Massage is not a substitute for necessary medical treatment.
